Fuse

          Where I had left off, Partridge, Lyda and the Mothers, are walking down a path of misery, seeming to be hour on end to reach their destination. Then Mother Hestra leads then to a shelter from in which she waves her hand as to someone in the sky. Partridge looks up to see what she was waving her hand at, but he couldn't see anything. She then lead them inside the shelter. There sitting in the darkness of the floor was a giant whole that seemed like it was made by a giant creature that could pop out at any second.  The Mothers want them to go down, possibly to their death.

           Then Mother Hestra said, "Ladies First"(Baggot 82). She then shakes her head and tells Partridge to go first. And he complies. He gets down on his hands and knees and goes down, while Lyda follows. When they finally get down, Mother Hestra closed the door to the treacherous darkness and everything goes black. Then there is a light at the end of the tunnel. And Mother Hestra said that the  tunnel was a subway tunnel before the detonations hit. They then started asking if when they got down there if there were any bodies they should look out for. Mother Hestra then confronted them and told them not to worry, for they had buried them in a sacred way. They wanted to thank them for letting them used the play for in which they had passed for an important reason.

Fuse

         I haven't really read all that much since last time. All I know is that Partridge has gotten to meet up with Lyda. They were very happy to see each other. After they finally kissed and saw each other, they came upon a creature. The creature that they had come across was what they call a dust. A dust is a person or something that used to be a person, and was fused together with object around them. Most are fused with debris like trees, cars and dirt.
       
        But then Partridge starts screaming at it to lure it toward him to get it away from Lyda. But then one of the Mothers screams at it even louder then Partridge. And do you know what happens? It goes toward the Mother and she kills it. She kills it! And Partridge is then infuriated and starts yelling at the Mother. That's as far as I got.

Fuse

         From where we left off, Lyda way listening to Illia practically go insane. She was mumbling about art and about how it would make the world  better. The next day it is time for Lyda to go out of the safety of the Mothers. Lyda is following behind one of the mother who has a child fused to her leg. She then looks up,and who does she see? Partridge, getting ready to sprint towards her, but he knows he has to remain calm. Even though he hasn't seen her in such s long time.

         They meet up and Partridge knows that the Mothers don't like him. Or any other boy there is. Partridge was thinking about kissing Lyda but the Mothers separated then before he got a chance to. They are all in a long line one in front of the other. Partridge can see Lyda but there is a Mother right in front of him and behind him. He sees her and she sees him back. She stops and the Mothers keep going and so does Partridge. But just enough to catch up to Lyda. then without even saying a word, he kisses her. Just like he had planned to do. That's as far as I got. Yeah can't wait to here what happens next! :)

Fuse: 80 Pages

     Well I am now on page 80, and I had left off with Lyda and Illia talking when they were getting this special serum put on them. Lyda then all of the sudden wants Illia to tell her a story. She starts telling her this intriguing story about a girl that fell in love with a man and how the man loved he back. But then Illia says they want to get married, but there is only one problem... they can't. One reason they cant is because she is the keeper of knowledge and that she is supposed to protect what is called the seed of truth. But the very main reason is that he was going to die.

       She started telling Lyda that the girl had then died inside. Then Lyda asked her what happened next..... Illia said that she was married off to a man who has "connection." And Lyda starts to think that that man is Illia's husband Ingership that she had to kill. But Lyda knows she can't bring it up. Illia then starts yelling at Lyda to tell her where the seed of truth is... but she has no idea of where and what it is. Then Illia starts mumbling to herself, "I miss the truth. I miss art. I miss art. Life would be worth living if it had art," (Page 70). And yeah, so hope to find out what happens next! :)
