Fuse

From were I left off was when El Capitan was watching the Special forces members spell out the word, "HASTINGS." El Capitan then sees the special forces member sprinting away from the tree. The special forces member waits for El Capitan because he wants El Capitan to follow him. Then he leads him to a place which used to be a city. When he looks down in front of the dome he sees what are known as crazies. And they are building something made of timber in front of the dome.

El Capitan says,"Almost looks like they're going to try to build a fire." (Pg. 47) Now I am on a section for Pressia. She has gone to a Morgue with Bradwell and he has this egg shapes thing. What he does is he asks it questions and it tells them the answer. Bradwell tells Pressia that one day he was babbling on and it started beeping like a game show buzz. Pressia really wanted to hear it so Bradwell tried to retrace his words. But when he recited his words, they all came out to be something about Pressia.

Which surprised her, but she thinks she is falling for Bradwell again. But then he say something and the little egg goes off and it says,"Seven, seven, seven, seven, seven, seven, seven,"(Pg 59). They then figure out that seven is for seven names. Seven names to unlock the secrets of this little contraption. So then Pressia starts shouting out names that she remembers. And three of the seven green lights glow. That's as far as I've gotten, but I wonder if they will ever unlock the secrets?

Fahrenheit 451 Post

There is a man named Montag who works for a fire department. But the funny thing is, is that they don't put out fires, they start them. One day Montag was walking home and this girl named Clarisse McClellen walks with him all the way home. They talk for a really long time. Montag sort of thinks that Clarisse is kind of out there, if you know what I mean. But then Clarisse asks Montag a very simple but meaningful question. She says, " Are you happy?" (Pg. 39 in this book)
But then Montag had to think for a minute and he had realized later in the book that he wasn't happy.

He then was called to an women's house who was caught with a book and was ordered to burn it down. They tried to get the women out of the house but then she lit the match she had  and burnt the house, the books, and her all within a few seconds. Montag then realized that there was a book that wasn't burned yet. so Montag decided to take a big risk and hide it in his suit. But when he was done with work, he went home and laid down to sleep and slipped the book under his pillow.

The next morning, he woke up and told his wife Mildred that he felt ill and he couldn't go into work today. But then Mildred told Montag to call his boss/chief of the firehouse, Beatty, to tell him he wasn't going to be in but Montag said he couldn't. Then just in a matter of minutes of saying that Beattuy showed up at the door. Then he started asking Montag these questions on why he wasn't at work. he then started to give a lecture to Montag about why firemen are so important. Then Mildred started to clean the room and was trying to fluff Montag's pillow but Montag then tried to shoo he away. But Beatty already new Montag had a book, so Beatty told him,"... We let the fireman keep the book twenty-four hours. If he hasn't burned it by then, we simply come burn it for him, (Pg. 92 in this book)."

Fuse: just alittle further

Right now I am reading a chapter/section on El Capitan. He has just shared a sandwich with his brother, who is fused to his back. He than starts thinking of his past and how his father was insane and how his mother died. But anyway, El Capitan sees foot prints in the snow and follows them. He then finds a group of Special Forces. They are people from the dome that are coded to go and find people to bring them to the dome. And one of the Special forces spots El Capitan, then the others spot him also. Luckily they arn't looking to bring El Capitan back to the Dome. They are looking for someone else and El Capitan thinks he knows who it might be.

El Capitan then ducks his head and curls up and makes sure he isn't spoted. And as he sits there he tells himself that they want Partridge. And maybe they would want Pressia too because they share a bloodline. They might use Pressia to draw Partridge in. Then El Capitan hears foot steps ruffling in the snow. Then he turns around a sees a Special Force. He said that it was new and it looked like it had just come from the dome. He described it as having "2 weapons embedded in his forearms"(Pg. 44) El Capitan thinks that the Dome has bugged him (they put a device in their brain that allows the dome to see and hear everything that person or thing sees). And El Capitan asks what it wants, and it spells out a word on a tree without looking at it and it spells,"HASTINGS."

Fuse: a little bit further in

So far I am on page 38 (I think) and I have found out that Pressia is helping people with medical disabilities. Like she had helped this little boy with making a fake arm. She is being very helpful in the community and tries the best she can to keep everyone safe and healthy, even with her disability. Then in a whole different setting, Partridge (Pressia's half-brother), is being kept safe by the Mothers. They are keeping him in a seller and he has been give a pencil, paper, and a piece of wood to make maps for the Mothers.
Partridge's, Mother's Vials

Then Partridge lifts up a jar from off of an old shelf and beetles scatter and he pulls out 4 vials from underneath the jar. His mother had said, before she died, they can be very dangerous but yet life saving. So Partridge takes one of the beetles that was found underneath the jar, and cups it in his hand. Partridge wants to experiment on the beetle to see what would happen to it.

So he tries to put the needle of the vial into the beetle and the beetle sticks him/ stabs him with the spikes on his legs. And Partridge then lets go of it but not before a tiny drop drops onto the beetle. And then after like 10 minutes Partridge sees the beetle trying to get away but it has a huge over grow leg. He sees it try to fly but it can't because of the legs weight, it digs a hole and buries itself.

New Book: Fuse

I just started this book and I am on page 12. I really don't know what is happening. I am reading this book that is the second book to the trilogy Pure. This book is called Fuse. So far, from what I have read, there is a 9 year old girl that wakes up and it in strange clothing. All white (I think) and she can hear strange people talking and are gathering around her and all they are to her is a blur. All she can make out is that she is attached to an iv. She also can hear the beaping of a machine. She had tried to talk to the white figures around her but all that came out was, "We want!"(pg. 10) Then two women known as picker come up to her and she can't tell them her name. She then takes a minute to regroup and thinks of her name: Wilda. The pickers hear a soundf in the distance and know that the sounds are for protection of Wilda. The Pickers call them Angels, or protector. They quickly back away from her bed side and Wilda grabs on no their arms, showing the whitest skin. Then before the picker can lunge herself away Wilda says,"We want our son returned, (pg. 12)" Thats allthat i have read so far. :)

Reflection

The Character blog post is the best post that exemplifies my ability of analyze complex characters and analyze development of theme. This blog post ( and my entire blog), helps prove that I met the standards and expectations of a good character because  it describes them very well and it helps give a very descriptive description of what each character goes through throughout the book. It also helps describe the characters appearance and how they are feeling throughout the book. It also helps analyze the theme of the story, even in my blog post it says that “R has helped with the theme and the plot a lot. He has created the whole story. Without R there would be no story. The whole story wouldn't really make sense without R. (R is the main character)” It just helps by developing the story better. And making the story feel like it’s actually real.

The goals that I have for myself for next trimester for reading is to try to read a lot higher level books. I want to start reading about 2 times a week and read books that are about 400-500 pages long. For writing my goals are to do one of those times writing essays and write within a minute or two and just write what my thoughts are for that day. Like a quick write. The areas of improvement for me are to read a lot more then I usually do, because I am a busy person and I am not always able to read as much as I would like to. Areas of improvement for writing is I would like to write at least once a week and to set a time limit for how much I have to write each week. I hope to read and write more in my spare time and I hope to increase my vocabulary to an a lot higher standard.

End

REALLY GOOD BOOK! I hope somebody else will read it. But I really have nothing else to say. But it was an amazing read. And I hope other people will enjoy the book as well as I did. It made me feel a lot of emotion. sometimes it made me want to cry but others times I felt so happy. So it really is a good book and it makes you feel like you are actually in the book.

Summary

After they fall into the Fountain.

Well this book is about a zombie who is called R and is living in an abandoned airport. He gets married to a lovely undead like himself and the adopt 2 children. He then goes on a hunting spree for flesh and he finds the girl of his dreams and forgets all about his wife and kids. But she finds somebody else also. Anyway, R takes the girl of his dreams back to his home at the airport. He later finds out her name is Julie, and he keeps her in the air plain for the longest of time. Julie then tells him she has to go back to where she lives, which is the stadium, and he doesn't want her to leave but he lets her use the car he has fixed up and the are on their way. On the way they, stop at an abandoned house to get some rest. In the morning Julie is gone and R has to go back home, but he finds M and some others and they want to help R get into the stadium to be with Julie. So they trick the guards by making R look human and his friends chase him into the stadium. once he is in the stadium, he follows Julies scent and finds her. He then is taken out by Julie and they soon figure out that R is a zombie and is not human. There is a fountain about 75 feet off the ground and her father fires a shot at him and hits him in the chest and they fall. You think R is going to die? Nope. He lives! Then something amazing happens and he then is transformed into a human being! and Julie is finally in love with R just like he wanted. And they lived happily ever after.

Almost done

Its pretty good so far. R has just tricked the guards of the stadium which holds his love, Julie. He follows her scent to were she was. He found her and she thought he was crazy but allowed him to come into the apartment and Julie's friend starts asking him all of these crazy questions. And that's as far as I am.

Analysis

One of the many book covers.
The movie cover (also of many)
I thought that this was a very nice book. This book is for anyone who loves romantic comedies. Its is so funny and yet its heart warming at the same time. It is a really good book and I would recommend it to anyone. It has very impressive vocabulary. It also has a movie you could watch. I would recommend that you read the book first so that you get a better understanding of the movie. But over all its a really good book.

Part of the summary :)

I have found out that Julie and R had found an abandoned house to stay in after they got off the road from traveling. They decided to rest for the night just to get some energy back in their dead and undead bodies. And they just got to know a little bit more about each other. That's as far as I go.

Almost Done with the Book (Part 2 summary)

This book is a really good book and I hope who ever reads it likes it as much as I do. It was and amazing book about a beauty and a beast. who learn to except their differences and love each other for who they are. Its an awesome read and I would absolutely recommend this book. :)

Prediction for the Half way mark

I predict that Julie will get away safely with R and will get safely taken back to her father. I think Julie's father will find R and will try to kill him because he is undead. But then I think Julie will fall in love with R and try to save him from her father. Just like he saved her so many times.

Half Way Summary/Point

Well so far R is trying to keep Julie from going back to her zombie free home. R is trying to keep her from going back because her "loves" her. But there is just one problem. Bonies! Bonies are the undead just without the flesh still on their undead corps. The bonies are trying to eat Julie because they have found out that Julie is not dead. And that's as far as I got. Her are what the Bonies look like.

70 Pages in

I am about 70 pages in and it has changed a lot. R has just now found Julie surrounded by the undead. He runs to her aid in an attempt to save her (again). And he succeeds! Yahoo! Julie is saved but he had to go through so rough righting to save her. He punches his friend M so hard in the face he nocks his cheekbone inward. R didn't recognize who he had punched at first but when he did he felt really bad. But he got what he wanted: to save the girl.

Characters

R has developed a lot in the book. He has went from a flesh eating maniac to an undead romantic. He used to always want to go out and kill for the memories of other because he didn't have his own. But once he met Julie, everything changed. He actually thought he felt his lifeless heart beating. He saved Julie once and then saved her again. He really truly loves her. R has helped with the theme and the plot a lot. He has created the whole story. Without R there would be no story. The whole story wouldn't really make sense without R. Its just what makes the story seem real. And the characters in the story actually make you feel like you are in the story. Since we are talking about R so much, here is a picture of him.

50 Pages In

I am about 50 pages into my book and its great so far. As you know R went away from the group to find more flesh and instead he found a wonderful girl named Julie. So far he taken her to his home, which is an airplane. After keeping her captive or as he calls it "keeping her safe," she complains she is hungry. So he takes her out to go find food. They find food and Julie asks R many questions. They just take for a couple of hours. And that's as far as I have read. Hope to see what happens next. Another book that you could read, if you liked this one is Allison Hewitt is Trapped. Its about a girl who is trapped in a bookstore and she uses her laptop to call for help. Its not a love story, but it sounds like a really good book for zombie lovers. :)

Book Recommendation

This book is an amazing read. It is for anyone who loves to read a good romance book. Its about young love both dead and alive.  There is so much description it makes you feel like you're actually in the book. It feels so real. This book is made for anyone who loves to really feel like they are in the story. Once you start reading you don't want to stop.  I think this book deserves 4.5 stars. I think the author did a very good job on this book. It has lots of details and description to grab the readers attention. The genre of this book is Fiction because i don't think we are expecting a zombie apocalypse any time soon. If you liked the movie you'll love the book. This is a book i would totally recommend.

Just telling you about the story

My book is good so far. It is a little confusing at first, for me, but then you get whats happening. its a mix of romance and i wouldn't necessarily call it a horror but its about zombies so... you can categorize it however you would like. I like it because it has many parts to it. I love how it has each event that occurs leads into another event. Its pretty good. And I think everyone should at least try to read this book. :)

First Blog Post

Hello! I chose to read the book called Warm Bodies. I am not very far in the book. I am about 15 pages into the book and its pretty interesting so far. There is a teenage zombie named "R" just got married and adopted 2 zombie kids. He is now wanting food or flesh to eat and his undead friend named "M" gather up a search party to find food but M tries to stop him because food is running scarce but then R go's ahead of the group and doesn't listen to M. Why doesn't R stay with the group? I wonder if he wants to leave or is just out to find food? I predict that R is going to get separated from the group and will find a human who he takes in and cares for because in the book r said he doesn't like killing but he said he has no choice. It was either starve to death or eat. My connection I have to this book is I have been really hungry before and have wanted food really badly. :) This book is really good so far and I hope I can find more interesting things about R.
